Objective

In October, 2023, Oklahoma and Texas were scheduled for their famous matchup: The Red River Rivalry. The game was broadcast on ESPN’s College Gameday, and ESPN reached out to BMH for creative ways to promote the matchup. With only 8 days notice, the BMH team immediately got to work on the creative connecting, and animation work. The final creative, developed by Director Riley Clinton, started with an animated scene in an old west-style saloon. An old projector kicks in at the end of the bar, showing classic Red River Rivalry highlights in an exciting montage format. This concept aimed to marry an old school setting with more modern editing techniques, all while showcasing each teams’s top talent and historic moments.
