After a successful project promoting the Red River Rivalry, ESPN hired BMH to be apart of their College Football Playoff Reveal campaign. In similar fashion, the ESPN creative team provided a basic concept, which BMH took and ran with. BMH created an entire “College Football Playoff Hall of Fame” to set the scene in. Individual stadiums (The Rose Bowl, The Sugar Bowl and NRG Stadium) were set in glass display cases, and once the camera flew into each case, they came to life with banners unraveling, crowd noise filling the air, and featured quick motion graphics of each matchup. The biggest obstacle of this project was not knowing which 4 teams made the CFP, and 2023 ended up being one of the most chaotic Decision Days in CFP history. An undefeated FSU was replaced by the SEC Champions, Alabama. BMH was working closely with ESPN in the month leading up to the decision, considering every possible outcome and matchup, and preparing assets accordingly. BMH delivered our final product 15 minutes before the CFP matchups were revealed to the general public.
