Objective
Beginning in March 2023, we followed seven NFL players as they embarked on the complex journey of free agency, seeking new team opportunities while confronting personal challenges and the harsh realities of life in the League. “Free Agency” offers viewers an unprecedented, intimate look into the lives of these players as they navigate a pivotal moment in their careers. Through the lens of an NFL agent, reporter, and trainers, we gain a deeper understanding of the free agency process. This project serves to educate audiences about NFL free agency—breaking down key terms, explaining various scenarios, and exploring how the landscape has evolved over the past few decades. Above all, this project provides a rare opportunity to hear these athletes speak candidly and deeply, offering a level of vulnerability and insight that the public has rarely seen before.
